Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the first publication of Dr. Jean Watson’s Caring Science Theory in her book Nursing:  The Philosophy and Science of Caring. The International Caritas Consortium is open to nurses and care team members from all disciplines around the world.  Be inspired by luminaries including Barbara Dossey, Larry Dossey, Mary Jo Kreitzer, Janet Quinn and may others from WCSI affiliate organizations and Caring Science leaders.

Who Should Attend

• Clinicians such as registered nurses, social workers, and physicians
• Interdisciplinary team members such as chaplains, care experience leaders, and pharmacists
• All others who are interested in advancing human caring in health care

Conference Objectives

1. Apply practices of Caring Science to empower organizational transformation from the inside-out for healthcare across disciplines, specialties, and roles in order to achieve health, healing, and human caring in all environments.

2. Examine how the forty-year history of Caring Science and the Theory of Human Caring has impacted health care communities around the world and across disciplines.
